Mococa Beach
Known for being tranquil and clean, Mococa Beach is only 100 meters from the entrance to Mar Verde. A foot bridge, built by SAMAVE, passes under the Rio-Santos so that pedestrians can safely walk from Mar Verde to the beach. Besides drinks, snacks, and meals, the restaurants on the beach offer canoes, jet skis, and small boats for rent. There is even a sailing school offering lessons. During the summer the fire department provides a life guard. Facing Mococa Beach is the island Tamanduá and the islands of Cocanha, where regional fisherman cultivate muscles. Mococa Beach is easy to reach by car and has ample space for parking. Privacy is guaranteed by an area of preservation that separates Mococa Beach from SP55. Mococa Beach is also great for fishing and snorkeling, the rock jetty offers a wealth of aquatic life for observation.
