Mococa River
The subdivision Mar Verde is bordered on one side by the Mococa River, which descends from the State Park of the Coastal Mountains (Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar) and ends on Mococa Beach. People love to take a refreshing dip in the river's cool fresh water pools. At the back of the subdivision there is a trail that follows the river and allows access to several swimming holes, including the Poço Verde, which is known for being the deepest and widest pool.
